Pool Builder Vs House Builder

Glad I am out of town as all I've had on my my message bank is the builders moaning about each other! I think I'll stay out of it and let them duke it out with each other. Now boys play nice, you need to share!

  1. Haha, they might even refuse to continue until a compromise is reached. Which could mean you won't be in until after Christmas, NOT good.

  2. In NSW they don't even entertain the thought of other works going on while Metricon is on site so thats one good thing I suppose?? ;)

    Good Luck!

  3. Shayne, they usually don't allow this anywhere. I'm not sure how Rachel/Sandy were able to

  4. Metricon qld ask if you are going to have a pool. They then get you to sign paperwork and provide info re the pool builder. They are then allowed to excavate and pour concrete only as long as it is securely fenced off. The rest is finished post house construction

  5. We had to provide metricon with info about where our pool would be positioned - mainly for knowing about piering if the pool was to be excavated near the house (incase we needed more piers). We elected to build the pool afterwards. No way could we have had it excavated during construction. We could have done it prior to Metricon being onsite but you then have to cover the pool with a hard cover and fence it. I hear from a friend it's complicated with insurance too and not worth the headache - here in NSW anyway.
